Ban on Umrah Visas: Saudi Operation Restrictions

Saudi Arabia suspends Umrah visas and bans visit visas from some countries where coronavirus cases have been confirmed.

Here is what you should know about it:

Suspending entry of all nationalities to Saudi Arabia holding Umrah visas

Saudi Arabia authorities while addressing in a press conference made it clear that the Umrah visas (people planning to visit the Kingdom for Umrah pilgrimage) are temporarily suspended and visit visas are banned for some countries over the fear of the deadly coronavirus, the Ministry said in the statement. All other types of visas are available, the statement added.

Suspending the use of all national identity card to travel to Saudi Arabia for all GCC nationals

Saudi Arabia has also announced the suspension of the entry of Gulf nationals to visit the holy sites of Makkah and Medina. Later it is mentioned that the temporary ban is not for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nationals who have been in the Kingdom for 14 consecutive days without any signs of coronavirus infections.

Suspending entry of below nationalities holding tourist visas

Entry to the Kingdom with a tourist visa from countries with confirmed coronavirus outbreaks according to criteria established by Saudi health authorities is suspended. 

The countries include China – Iran – Italy – Korea – Japan – Thailand – Malaysia – Indonesia – Pakistan – Afghanistan – Philippines – Singapore – India – Lebanon – Syria – Yemen – Azerbaijan – Kazakhstan – Uzbekistan – Somalia – Vietnam which has the worst coronavirus outbreaks.
